Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 1, 2026

This policy explains what cookies Tendara uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) by your web browser when you visit a website. Cookies allow websites to recognize your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how you use the site.

In addition to traditional cookies, we use similar technologies including:

  • localStorage and sessionStorage: Browser storage mechanisms used to persist UI preferences (such as sidebar state and theme) that do not need to be sent to the server on every request.
  • Session cookies: Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser, used to maintain your authenticated session.
  • Persistent cookies: Cookies that remain on your device until they expire or you delete them, used to remember long-term preferences.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Tendara platform — see the "Managing Your Preferences" section for details.

What We Do NOT Do

We are committed to a minimal, privacy-respecting cookie footprint. We want to be clear about what we do not do:

  • We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind. Tendara does not run ad campaigns that rely on behavioral tracking.
  • We do not share cookie data with ad networks, data brokers, or any third party for advertising purposes.
  • We do not use cookies or any other mechanism to track you across other websites or across the internet.
  • We do not use device fingerprinting techniques to identify or track you without cookies.
  • We do not collect any Protected Health Information (PHI) through cookies. PHI is stored in our secure database and is never placed in cookies or browser storage.

Managing Your Preferences

You have several options for controlling cookies:

  • Browser settings: All modern browsers allow you to block, delete, or manage cookies. Visit your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Tendara.
  • Account cookie preference center: Once signed in, you can manage your optional cookie preferences in Settings → Privacy & Cookies. Changes take effect immediately and are persisted to your account.
  • Google Analytics opt-out: You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser extension.
  • Do Not Track: We respect the "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signal. When DNT is enabled, we disable analytics cookies for your session.

Please note: disabling essential cookies (such as tendara_session and csrf_token) will prevent you from signing in and using the platform. These cookies are a functional requirement, not optional.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services that may set their own cookies on your device. We do not control these cookies and recommend reviewing each provider's privacy policy for more information:

  • Google Analytics (analytics.google.com) — Used for aggregate usage analytics on our marketing pages. IP anonymization is enabled. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Stripe (stripe.com) — Used for payment processing on our billing and checkout pages. Stripe may set cookies related to fraud prevention and payment session management. Privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
  • Intercom (intercom.com) — Customer support chat widget available to Professional and Enterprise plan customers. Intercom may set cookies to identify returning visitors and persist chat session state. Privacy policy: intercom.com/legal/privacy

None of these third-party services are permitted to use cookies set on Tendara pages for their own advertising purposes. All third-party processors are governed by data processing agreements with Tendara.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as we add new features, change third-party providers, or in response to changes in applicable law.

For material changes — such as introducing a new category of cookies or a new third-party service that sets cookies — we will provide advance notice via email to the facility administrator on your account or through an in-app notification before the changes take effect.

Minor updates (such as correcting typos or updating third-party links) may be made without notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

Continued use of the Tendara platform after the effective date of any update to this Cookie Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
