Accessibility at Tendara
Families, clinicians, and administrators of every ability rely on Tendara to care for the people they love. Making it usable for everyone is part of that duty of care.

Our commitment
We design and build Tendara to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard that satisfies our obligations across the United States and Canada. We are adopting WCAG 2.2 AA as a forward target and pursue select Level AAA criteria (stronger contrast, larger touch targets, plain language) where they help our older users most.

What we've built
- Colour contrast meets WCAG AA, in both light and dark themes.
- Every interactive control is keyboard-operable, with a visible focus indicator.
- Form fields have programmatic labels; errors are announced and tied to their field.
- Motion respects your system's reduced-motion setting; nothing flashes or auto-scrolls.
- Loading states show layout-shaped skeletons, so the page never freezes or jumps.
Where we're still improving
Accessibility is ongoing work, and we'd rather be honest about it. We're actively addressing:
- A few non-essential controls are being converted to native buttons for the smoothest screen-reader experience.
- A larger in-app text-size control is in development for readers who prefer bigger type.
- Some third-party embedded content (maps, payment forms) is governed by its provider's accessibility.
